PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia (Generali Indonesia) officially announced its new leadership line-up this year, including a change in CEO and two new members of the board of directors. Rebecca Tan has been appointed as president director/chief executive officer (CEO) of Generali Indonesia, replacing Edy Tuhirman who will retire at the end of 2024. In addition, Nyean Soon Chin has been appointed as director/chief financial officer (CFO) and Amit Vakil as director/chief agency officer (CAO). Rebecca Tan has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including banking and insurance. Prior to joining Generali Indonesia, she served as CEO of Generali Life Malaysia as well as Director & Management Committee of the Malaysian Life Insurance Association (LIAM), and has been part of the Generali Group since 2019. "With Rebecca's experience and expertise, we are confident that Generali Indonesia will benefit positively from her bold strategic vision," said Generali's Regional Officer for Asia Rob Leonardi, in a press statement. 

Meanwhile, in other directors, Nyean Soon Chin has more than 22 years of experience in actuarial and financial fields in the life and general insurance industry in Asia-Pacific. Previously, he served as CFO at Generali Vietnam Life Insurance. Then, Amit Vakil has more than 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry, and previously served as Head of Partnership Distribution & Bancassurance at Future Generali India Life Insurance. With this new leadership, Generali Indonesia is committed to continuing to provide insurance protection for the Indonesian people through various distribution channels, such as agencies, bancassurance, corporate solutions, and Alive online insurance. Today, Generali Indonesia has protected more than 400,000 customers, both individual and corporate customers throughout Indonesia.
