The Industropolis Batang Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is bolstering the development of the industrial area by integrating sports, tourism, and local economic activities within Batang Regency, Central Java.
M. Rizza Akbar, Head of the Corporate Office & Protocol Department at Industropolis Batang SEZ, stated that the area is not merely designed as a hub for industrial activity but also serves as a venue for various events that enhance the zone's appeal. "As we enter our third year, we want this event to continue growing and to meet increasingly high standards," said Rizza, as quoted on Thursday (August 27, 2026).
The development of activities at Industropolis Batang SEZ also showcases the area's unique character, blending a modern industrial zone with rubber plantations, a reservoir, and the Java Sea coastline. Meanwhile, the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Innovation Agency (Bapperida) of Batang Regency believes that sports events attracting participants from various regions can stimulate economic activity and strengthen the local tourism sector.
