The Bank Indonesia (BI) Papua Representative Office recorded transactions by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) totaling IDR 1.12 billion during the three-day 9th Papua Coffee Festival (Feskop) 2026 in Jayapura City.
Warsono, Head of the BI Papua Representative Office, stated in Jayapura on Tuesday that this achievement was one of the positive outcomes of the 2026 Papua Coffee Festival, an event that served not only to promote Papuan coffee but also to create opportunities for MSME development and expanded market access. "Overall, the 2026 Papua Coffee Festival achieved impressive results, including MSME transaction revenue reaching IDR 1,126,558,000," he said.
According to Warsono, the festival also recorded transactions totaling IDR 706,734,000 made via the Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS). "Furthermore, the 2026 Papua Coffee Festival successfully attracted approximately 14,000 visitors and generated business matching deals valued at IDR 2,455,000,000," he added. He explained that the event involved 60 MSMEs operating in the coffee, food and beverage (F&B), and handicrafts and fashion sectors. "In addition to the domestic market, Papuan coffee is also being promoted through three international events: World of Coffee San Diego, the Amsterdam Coffee Festival, and World of Coffee Bangkok," he said. He added that the collaboration and networking established during the festival are expected to serve as the starting point for sustained follow-up action.
