Indonesia aims to increase its exports to China by 20% in 2026 by leveraging opportunities at the China–ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO). The initiative is part of the government’s strategy to strengthen trade relations and expand market access for Indonesian products in one of its most important export destinations. China remains a key strategic partner, with Indonesia’s exports to the country reaching approximately USD 67 billion in the previous year, with more than 90% consisting of non-oil and gas products.
The large Chinese market, supported by a population of around 1.4 billion people, offers significant opportunities for Indonesian products, particularly in the agricultural and food sectors. Through participation in CAEXPO 2026, the government will facilitate business pitching and matchmaking activities to connect Indonesian exporters with potential buyers before the exhibition begins. These efforts are expected to strengthen trade cooperation and help Indonesia achieve its targeted export growth.
