PT Teng Fei Glory Indonesia, a footwear manufacturing company based in Tegal City, achieved a significant milestone by conducting its inaugural export of 10,840 pairs of Joma brand shoes to Spain in early February 2026. The export release of two containers was personally officiated by the Mayor of Tegal, accompanied by officials from the Tegal Customs Office, as a form of support for local industrial competitiveness. This achievement is highly impressive considering the company has only been operational for about two months but is already able to meet strict international market quality standards. In addition to the Joma brand, the Tegal production facility is also trusted to produce footwear for other global brands such as Skechers, Diadora, and Hi-Tec, proving the high competence of the domestic workforce.
For association members and industry players, this export success serves as clear evidence that the investment climate in Tegal City is increasingly conducive and welcoming for large-scale manufacturing business development. The Tegal City Government remains committed to providing licensing facilities through fast-track service systems to encourage more investors to make this region an export-oriented production base. Currently, the company has employed around 650 local workers and aims to increase the headcount to 2,000 by the end of 2026. With the support of fiscal facilities from Customs, it is expected that the productivity of the national footwear sector will continue to rise and provide a sustainable positive economic impact on the welfare of the surrounding community.
