The Kementerian Perindustrian (Ministry of Industry) of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Indonesian Embassy in Japan, facilitated a business-meeting titled “Strengthening Halal Industry Ecosystem and Supply Chain Collaboration” in Chiba on 4 December 2025. The meeting, held during JFEX Winter 2025, aimed to expand access for Indonesian halal products into the Japanese market. Thirteen Indonesian halal food and beverage companies showcased a variety of goods — from coffee, tea and chocolate to snacks — underscoring Indonesia’s natural resources and capacity to deliver globally competitive halal products.
Several Japanese firms expressed strong interest in the quality and diversity of Indonesian halal offerings. The positive reception suggests promising opportunities for expanded distribution, product development, and even investment collaborations — potentially strengthening Indonesia’s long-term export continuity in the halal sector.
