Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Representative Head, Wahyu Yuwana Hidayat, expressed pride in the achievements of local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) after a Bengkulu coffee producer successfully secured an export contract worth USD 1 million. The agreement was finalized during a recent trade exhibition in South Tangerang, Banten. Wahyu made the announcement while opening the Bencoolen Festival in Bengkulu on Saturday evening, October 25, 2025, emphasizing that Bengkulu coffee continues to gain international recognition for its exceptional quality.
The coffee will be exported to several destinations, including the Netherlands, Egypt, and Nigeria. In addition to overseas contracts, the MSME also secured domestic trade agreements to supply coffee to several five-star hotels across Indonesia. Wahyu noted that this marks a milestone for Bengkulu coffee, which had not been officially recorded as an export commodity before. “This export agreement proves that Bengkulu coffee truly deserves a place on the global stage,” he said.
