The government has established the Task Force for the Acceleration of Government Strategic Programs (Satgas P2SP) to ensure that key national programs are executed with precision, on schedule, and with real impact for the public. The move follows directives from President Prabowo Subianto during a limited cabinet meeting on 15 September 2025 and a ministerial coordination meeting on 22 September 2025. The task force will coordinate across ministries and agencies under the leadership of Airlangga Hartarto, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, to consolidate and align strategic government programs to meet targets and deliver tangible benefits to society.
The Satgas P2SP is structured into three working groups: the first focuses on accelerating budget realization and program execution; the second addresses implementation hurdles and removal of bottlenecks; the third is charged with speeding up regulatory support and strengthening law enforcement. Key programs under its purview include the “Paket Ekonomi 8+4+5”, the 2025 economic stimulus packages, including the holiday (Nataru) discount scheme, and further fiscal incentives, as well as efforts to streamline non-tariff barriers across sectors. The task force will meet regularly and follow through with decisions rapidly, while the Ministry of Finance warns that if allocated funds are not absorbed effectively, they may be reallocated to more beneficial sectors.
