In the third quarter of 2025, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) recorded a coal production volume of 35.90 million tons, representing a 9% increase year-on-year from 32.97 million tons in the same period of 2024. This growth was supported by its subsidiary PT Satria Bahana Sarana, which contributed 21 percent of the total production and achieved a stripping ratio of 5.98 during the period.
On the sales front, PTBA sold 33.70 million tons of coal in Q3, up 8 percent from 31.28 million tons a year earlier, with 56 percent of that volume absorbed by the domestic market and the remainder destined for export. Meanwhile, coal transport volumes increased by 8 percent to 30.02 million tons, aided by improved logistics efficiency and better supply-chain coordination. The company noted that strengthening global coal price trends also provided favorable conditions for its financial performance, enabling it to build a strong operational foundation as it approaches year-end.
