A major success story is unfolding for Indonesian micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), thanks to the support from Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI/Indonesia Eximbank). Through the “Coaching Program for New Exporter (CPNE)” initiated in 2024, an aggregator company, PT Makbul Abadi Semestar, has helped more than 50 UMKM partners gain access to export markets. Their highlighted products — notably tempeh chips and dried fruits — are now successfully exported to the U.S., Saudi Arabia and are primed for Chile, with each container shipping around 17,000 packs.
Looking ahead, the company is aiming to further expand into markets such as France, Japan and India, where importers have shown keen interest in Indonesian dried-fruit offerings. LPEI also played a key role at Trade Expo Indonesia 2025 by providing booths and open consultation spaces for export advice, financing and insurance, which has strengthened the capacity of export-oriented UMKM.
