The Pasar Senggol Turkiye 2025 event in Istanbul became a vibrant display of Indonesia’s rich culture and creative economy on the international stage. Held on October 11, 2025, at the Hasköy Kültür ve Sanat Gösteri Merkezi, Carrying the theme “75 Years of Diplomacy: Empowered Diaspora, Globalized Economy,” the event marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Turkey through the lens of cultural exchange and entrepreneurship. The lively atmosphere of Pasar Senggol brought together music, fashion, food, and art—offering visitors a glimpse of Indonesia’s diversity. From Betawi dances to Nusantara performances, and from traditional clothing to a wide array of culinary delights such as sate padang, rendang, bakso, and es cendol, the event reflected how Indonesian traditions continue to thrive beyond national borders.
This year’s Pasar Senggol featured 29 tenants across 41 booths, highlighting products from Indonesian MSMEs and diaspora-owned businesses, ranging from fashion and beauty to tourism and handicrafts. The one-day festival attracted nearly 3,000 visitors, including Indonesians, Turks, and attendees from over 35 other countries such as Malaysia, France, South Korea, and the United States. The total transaction volume reportedly exceeded 1 million Turkish Lira (around IDR 400 million), showcasing how cultural diplomacy can also drive tangible economic impact. Supported by the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul, the event was praised for successfully promoting Indonesia to the Turkish public while deepening people-to-people connections. Pasar Senggol Turkiye 2025 ultimately stood as a testament to how art, culture, and creativity can unite nations—and how Indonesia’s global diaspora continues to play a vital role in shaping cultural diplomacy and the creative economy.
