South Sulawesi has successfully made its first export of coconuts, sending 60,000 pieces via CV Harvest Green Global Agriculture to Vietnam. This milestone was celebrated amidst challenges such as navigating export regulations, funding constraints, and shifting global market dynamics. According to company director Alfyan Irsyad Nasrum, this accomplishment reflects strong determination, collaboration, and perseverance. Stakeholders including customs, quarantine agencies, local exporters, banks, and government bodies played key roles in facilitating the shipment.
Officials from the South Sulawesi quarantine agency emphasized that this export underlines the competitive potential of the province’s agricultural products in international markets. The event is seen as more than a commercial success; it symbolizes the hard work of farmers, institutional cooperation, and the region’s contribution to national economic growth. Officials expressed optimism that this would pave the way for additional exports to Vietnam and other countries.
