In the third quarter of 2025, the Bangka Belitung province’s fisheries export value reached IDR 158 billion, according to data from the Quality Assurance Agency of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP). However, this figure marks a 15.96% decline—about IDR 30 billion less—compared to the second quarter’s export value of IDR 188 billion.
The drop in export value suggests seasonal fluctuations or external constraints affecting fisheries trade in the region. While achieving over IDR 150 billion in exports reflects strong base capacity, the quarter-on-quarter decline signals challenges in sustaining export momentum. Stakeholders may need to examine factors such as demand shifts, logistics, product quality, or regulatory barriers to stabilize and improve export performance in upcoming quarters.
