Deputy for Medium Enterprises at the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Bagus Rachman, stated that Indonesian coffee continues to gain strong interest globally. In the first half of 2025, coffee exports reached 206.7 million kg, while the 2024 export value totaled IDR 24.8 trillion. This statement was made during the shipment of 15 tons of Argopuro Walida specialty coffee, valued at IDR 3 billion, from Situbondo to Jeddah on October 6, 2025.
To enhance coffee’s value, the ministry launched a plantation cluster UMKM holding program, integrating micro to large enterprises into a unified supply chain. Medium enterprises will serve as operators, handling aggregation, incubation, marketing, and financing. This approach aims to foster a connected ecosystem that boosts innovation, efficiency, and sustainability. “With full support from stakeholders—including the government, SOEs, private sector, and financial institutions—we can build a strong, competitive partnership ecosystem for sustainable global market access,” Bagus said.
