Indonesia has successfully exported 28,512 live chickens (about 57 metric tons) to Singapore, fetching SGD 141,000 (equivalent to approximately IDR 1.8 billion). This shipment, executed on October 6, 2025 at Sri Payung Port in Tanjung Pinang, was handled by PT Indojaya Agrinusa (a subsidiary of Japfa Comfeed Indonesia). It marks the second of three planned export phases in 2025.
Government officials and industry leaders view this export as validation of Indonesia’s poultry sector meeting stringent international standards. The Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health highlighted compliance with Singapore Food Agency standards and the country’s ability to maintain compartments free of avian influenza. In the Riau Islands, local authorities pledged continued support through spatial planning and strengthening partnerships with farmers. This achievement underscores Indonesia’s ambition to shift from exporting processed poultry to live shipments, enhancing competitiveness and signaling confidence in its biosecurity, logistics, and product quality.
