The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ni Luh Enik Ermawati, stated that the economic impact of the MotoGP event at Mandalika Circuit (held 3–5 October 2025 in Lombok Tengah, NTB) is estimated to reach IDR 4.8 trillion. Ni Luh Enik Ermawati stated that hotels in the area were fully booked and transportation services were saturated. Even her own team had difficulty finding a room. The high demand also prompted increased flight frequencies on routes such as Jakarta–Lombok and Bali–Lombok.
The deputy minister observed that local transport, accommodation, and ancillary services experienced major spikes in usage, generating significant multiplier effects in the local economy. Ni Luh Puspa (as she is also known) described the 2025 MotoGP event as the best so far in Mandalika’s history, surpassing previous editions in terms of impact and execution. She acknowledged there were some challenges, but considered them part of the learning process to improve future editions. She also emphasized that beyond increased tourism, local MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) stand to benefit from greater visibility and economic activity as part of the broader spillover effects.
