The Islamic Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Development program has officially been launched to strengthen Indonesia’s economy through productive and sharia-based entrepreneurship. Initiated by the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (Komite Nasional Keuangan Ekonomi Syariah/KNEKS) in collaboration with PUM Netherlands, the program aims to build a comprehensive ecosystem that supports business incubation, halal production services, digital economy, market access, and regulatory frameworks.
This initiative is also aligned with national priorities such as the Free Nutritious Meal Program and the establishment of Merah Putih Village Cooperatives. In Bandung, Universitas Pasundan (UNPAS) is involved in the effort to become an “Entrepreneurial University” by 2037, integrating Islamic and Sundanese values. The program includes visits to startups, creative economy players, and Islamic boarding schools to observe local potentials and strengthen collaboration. With an inclusive approach, the initiative is expected to not only nurture sharia entrepreneurship but also bring broad benefits to society, positioning Islamic entrepreneurship as a driving force in Indonesia’s mainstream economy.
