Indonesia recently exported four containers of processed dairy products—specifically powdered milk and sweetened condensed milk—to Malaysia and the Philippines, with a total export value of approximately IDR 1.7 billion. This export event was formally flagged off in Cikarang, West Java, by the Indonesian Trade Minister, Budi Santoso. The minister noted that this export is a strong indication of the strategic role of the food and beverage industry in supporting Indonesia’s non-oil and gas export sector. He added that the export of these dairy products reflects that Indonesian processed goods are increasingly meeting international food safety and quality standards.
Furthermore, Indonesia’s overall export from January to July 2025 reaching USD 160.16 billion, up 8.03% year-on-year, the processed goods sector (including dairy) is a key driver behind that growth. In encouraging further growth, the minister urged dairy producers to partner with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and called on private companies to coordinate with government agencies to strengthen national export performance—especially for dairy and processed products.
