Indonesian MotoGP Can Push Economic Turnover Up to IDR 4.8 Trillion

The Indonesian MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit in 2025 is expected to be a powerful economic driver, with an estimated economic turnover of IDR 4.5–4.8 trillion at both the national and regional (NTB) levels. With significant infrastructure investment already made in Mandalika not only about sports but also a strategic effort to strengthen tourism, boost local MSMEs, and promote Indonesia’s image internationally.

Local participation plays a key role — small businesses around Mandalika have already experienced increased revenue during previous MotoGP events. Going forward, the race is expected to create a multiplier effect, impacting not only tourism but also logistics, hospitality, transportation, and other supporting services. Pertamina’s involvement further supports Mandalika’s positioning as a hub for energy and sports tourism, aligning with Indonesia’s broader sports tourism development strategy. With significant infrastructure investment already made in Mandalika, the government hopes to see a steady rise in international tourist arrivals and long-term economic growth for both NTB and Indonesia as a whole.
