Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has reaffirmed the safety and reliability of both land and sea transportation in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. His visit on Saturday included inspections at Gambut Barakat Type A Terminal and Trisakti Port, along with a trial ride on the Trans Banjarbakula service. The minister highlighted that vehicles and facilities are in good condition, with complete inspection data ensuring adherence to safety standards.
He praised the South Kalimantan provincial government’s strong support for public transportation, especially through the Trans Banjarbakula program, part of the Teman Bus initiative. According to Dudy, such collaboration between central and regional authorities strengthens sustainable and affordable mass transit, while enhancing connectivity for both people and goods. He expressed hope that this model could inspire other provinces in Indonesia.
