On 24 September 2025, the Ministry of Trade in collaboration with Bank Indonesia (BI) West Java officially launched the export of processed snack chips produced by CV Bechips Indonesia to Japan, valued at approximately IDR 240 million. Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini, highlighted that this achievement demonstrates how Indonesian MSMEs can compete in international markets, particularly with government support in improving product quality and facilitating business matching to connect with Japanese buyers.
Since entering the Japanese market in November 2023, CV Bechips has successfully conducted nine export shipments, reaching a total value of over IDR 1.9 billion. Their products include a variety of savoury, spicy, and traditional West Javanese snacks, such as batagor in snack form. The West Java Provincial Government also emphasized its continued support for local businesses. Over the past five years, West Java’s processed food exports have reached around USD 795 million, with MSMEs as the main contributors. The local government has been providing training and assistance to help these businesses meet international standards. This synergy between Bank Indonesia, the central government, and local authorities aims to elevate MSMEs and support Indonesia’s export growth target of 7% by 2025.
