On 2 September 2025, Parepare Customs facilitated the export of 3,997 tons of palm kernel expeller, valued at IDR 7.16 billion, from PT Awana Sawit Lestari at Belang-Belang Port, Mamuji, West Sulawesi, with Vietnam designated as the export destination. The total export duty revenue from this export was IDR 651 million, and the palm oil levy was IDR 1.62 billion. Palm kernel expeller is the flesh and processing residue of palm kernels, which is rich in protein and nutrients for ruminants and non-ruminants. It is used as feedstock for livestock feed and is in high demand in the global market. These export services are a testament to the Customs and Excise Office's dedication to its role as the primary revenue collector, industrial assistance provider, and trade facilitator in the customs and excise sector.
