From January to July 2025, the Indonesia Statistics (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS) recorded that Indonesia's total weapons imports reached 141,632 kilograms, with a value of USD 65.04 million, equivalent to approximately IDR 1.06 trillion (at an exchange rate of IDR 16,400 per USD). These imports included three types of weapons from the United Arab Emirates, the United States, France, the Czech Republic, South Korea, and Japan. The largest imported commodities were military weapons, excluding revolvers and pistols, as well as those in HS 93019000. In terms of volume, the UAE was the largest supplier with 60,750 kilograms. South Korea ranked second with 22,614 kilograms, followed by Italy with 22,489 kilograms, the Czech Republic with 14,000 kilograms, and the United States with 13,061 kilograms. In terms of import value, the UAE maintained its leading position with USD 25.84 million. France followed with USD 12.66 million, the United States with USD 11.84 million, Italy with USD 7.36 million, and the Czech Republic with USD 2.52 million.
During that period, Indonesia imported 99,883 kg of weapons for USD 46.83 million (IDR 768.14 billion). The UAE was the primary supplier (60,750 kg for USD 25.84 million). The United States ranked second (12,651 kg for USD 11.58 million), followed by Italy (22,489 kg for USD 7.36 million). Furthermore, Indonesia imported 25,325 kilograms of bombs, grenades, torpedoes, mines, missiles and similar war ammunition and components (HS 93069010). France was the largest supplier (2,910 kg for USD 12.66 million). The Czech Republic exported 14,000 kg of goods to the value of USD 2.52 million, followed by South Korea (6,604 kg for USD 1.67 million). For the category of ammunition and other projectiles (16,423 kg for USD 358,677), South Korea was the leading contributor (16,010 kg for USD 103,500). The United States provided 410 kg of goods (USD 255,099), while Japan supplied 2 kg of goods (USD 73).
