On 25 August 2025, the Head of Sukoreno Tourism Village, Dwi Wahyuni stated that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the export of patchwork batik to Germany, with shipments scheduled every three months. Sukoreno Tourism Village in Kulon Progo, Special Region of Yogyakarta, is a tourism village that conducts educational activities on recycling full batik perca fabric, and eco-printing using pounding or steaming techniques. This results in products such as dresses, shorts/long pants, vests, or hats. The eco-printing education using steaming can accommodate several guests. Since 2024, the concept of utilising batik scraps has evolved. In the tourist village, self-taught local tailors process a significant volume of fabric scraps into products and finished goods.
Sukoreno Tourism Village also sources batik scrap fabric from Pekalongan, Central Java, due to increasing demand and a lack of local supply. In Sukoreno, there are more than nine producers of batik scrap fabric products, while in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, only Sukoreno has such production. The price of products varies, with a starting point of IDR 30,000, and these prices may be subject to adjustment based on demand or design. Sukoreno Tourism Village's location offers views of rice fields and Bulak Kayangan. A wide variety of cuisines is available. In addition, Desa Prima provides support to micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) by offering a range of products, including soto-flavoured eggs, Sawut Kayangan and other products that use locally sourced cassava as an ingredient, such as burgers and other varieties.
