On 12 August 2025, the launch of Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) 2026 was held in Jakarta. The theme of JMFW 2026 is "Essential Lab". The Ministry of Trade has organised JMFW 2026, with a target of generating transactions worth USD 10 million or approximately IDR 163 billion. This will be the fifth edition of the event, which will take place from November 6-9, 2025, at the Kartika Expo Center, Balai Kartini, Jakarta. JMFW 2026 will commence in 2025 with a series of pre-events, including seminars, co-branding, and pitching facilitation. It is anticipated that international buyers will be ready for business matching at the main event.

The Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, stated that in JMFW 2024, transaction value reached USD 20.4 million, exceeding the target of USD 3 million, an outcome which is expected to be exceeded again in 2026. Trade Minister Budi Santoso is confident that JMFW will play a pivotal role in driving the domestic fashion ecosystem, encompassing the textile industry, micro, small, and medium enterprises (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah/UMKM), and stimulate consumer expenditure. Furthermore, it is hoped that the beauty industry, fashion industry, and UMKM can collaborate to develop both the domestic market and export markets. The Ministry of Trade anticipates a successful implementation of JMFW 2026 through collaboration and synergy, with the objective of driving economic value and high competitiveness.
