The South Kalimantan Provincial Trade Office (Kalsel) presented a booth with an aesthetic and elegant concept at the South Kalimantan Expo 2025, which took place from August 10-15th at the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Office Complex in Banjarbaru. The booth attracted visitors thanks to its attractive visual display and the superior products from the businesses fostered by the South Kalimantan Trade Office. The Head of the South Kalimantan Trade Office, Ahmad Bagiawan, explained that this year's Disdag booth specifically featured seven fostered businesses that had shown significant progress. "So, our booth showcases our mentored traders. Seven of our mentored partners are already actively selling their products outside the island, and some are even in the process of exporting. We're just waiting for the licensing and administrative requirements to be completed," said Bagiawan when met at the event location on Sunday evening (August 10th, 2025).
He added that the participation of these entrepreneurs is expected to stimulate enthusiasm and encourage the progress of small businesses that have received assistance from the South Kalimantan Trade Office. "We hope that these mentored businesses can further develop thanks to our involvement at the Trade Office," he added. The products on display are very diverse, ranging from snacks and drinks like locally made syrups to traditional herbal medicines. Furthermore, the booth also showcases typical South Kalimantan handicrafts such as woven bags, traditional medicines, and sasirangan cloth, a cultural icon of Banua. Visitors to the South Kalimantan Expo 2025 can directly view and purchase these products at the South Kalimantan Trade Office booth. This expo is an important event to promote the potential of local MSMEs to penetrate national and international markets.
