Sidomulyo Village, Silo District, Jember, is entering a new phase as a robusta coffee export center. The village head, Kamiludin, announced that the first shipment is estimated to arrive on August 31, 2025, signaling that local farmers are ready to enter the global market without intermediaries. Support from the Merah Putih Cooperative is a crucial factor in ensuring the village's direct involvement in the supply chain and optimizing the added value of coffee production.
This export spirit is fully supported by the local government. The Regent of Jember, Muhammad Fawait, emphasized that this step is a concrete strategy to improve the welfare of local farmers by increasing selling prices and supplying foreign exchange. The local government is also encouraging compliance with quality standards and providing assistance from cultivation to export, so that Sidomulyo robusta coffee can once again enter the international market, as it did in 2019.
