African Importers Visit Blitar, Initiating Economic and Cultural Cooperation Led by W2POINT

The spirit of the 1995 Asia-Africa Conference was revived in Blitar Regency on August 8, 2025, with a meaningful event welcoming Mr. Eze Emmanuel Chidiebere, an African importer. This visit was initiated by Mr. Nwaba Eugene Chinweokwu from W2POINT in collaboration with international organizations like UNESCO and UNICEF, with support from the Blitar Cultural and Arts Council and the local government. The event, organized by the industry and Trade Office, showcased Blitar’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) offering export-ready products, aiming to open export opportunities to African markets.

Chairman of the Blitar Cultural and Arts Council, Dian Prio Gunanto, explained that this initiative is part of a sustainable Indonesia-Africa cooperation program involving cultural exchange, trade, investment, tourism, and education. The program is planned for December 2025 in East Java, hosted by Surabaya and Blitar. This effort reflects the geopolitical vision of the 1995 Asia-Africa Conference, driving economic and cultural growth through collaboration among W2POINT, local government, and various institutions. The industry and Trade Head of Blitar, Darmadi, expressed hope that this marks a promising start for Blitar’s MSMEs to expand into African markets.
