In July 2025, Exports of CBU Motorcycles from Indonesia Increased by 8.56%

In July 2025, exports of completely built-up (CBU) motorcycles from Indonesia reached an all-time high for that year, with a total of 50,042 units. This represents an increase of 8.56% compared to the 46,096 units exported in June 2025. However, this figure was slightly lower than the 51,012 units recorded in July 2024. According to the official AISI website, from January to July 2025, cumulative CBU motorcycle exports reached 318,785 units, surpassing the same period last year's figure of 291,330 units, representing an increase of 9.43%. This increase indicates that the competitiveness of the national motorcycle industry in the international market remains strong despite global challenges.

Furthermore, in July 2025, exports of parts-by-parts also demonstrated a positive trend, reaching 12,972,706 units, which represents an increase of 16% compared to June 2025, when exports totalled 11,149,042 units. However, in July 2025, CKD exports declined, reaching only 678,227 CKD units, a decrease of 10%. Primarily, Indonesia exports motorcycles to Southeast Asia and East Asia, followed by the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. The most exported type is automatic motorcycles, followed by scooters and sports motorcycles.
