The domestic medical device industry is showing strong momentum, with local producers' growing confidence in competing with imported products. The Chairman of GAKESLAB Indonesia, Rd. Kartono Dwidjosewojo, stated that locally produced innovation and quality specifications are now able to match global standards, a tangible result of producers' hard work and the development of modern, high-tech factories. No longer solely serving domestic needs, manufacturers are now actively exporting products such as stethoscopes, hospital beds, and various mid- and high-tech medical devices to foreign markets, opening up new foreign exchange opportunities.

However, challenges remain, including the perception that imported products are superior and the far-fetched target of 70% local product usage. The annual exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran serves as a strategic platform for medical device manufacturers to showcase their innovations and build market confidence. With the support of infrastructure and the organization of a global exhibition platform with more than 60 companies from 17 countries and a target visitor base of up to 15,000 people Indonesia is striving to strengthen its image as a mature player in the global healthcare industry.
