Indonesia and Australia have officially launched a new strategic partnership in the health sector through the signing of a Subsidiary Arrangement under the Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Health Transformation. Signed by Indonesian and Australian representatives, the initiative—named KITA SEHAT—aims to accelerate the transformation of Indonesia’s health system and support national health development goals. This collaboration signifies a strengthened bilateral relationship focused on impactful and measurable health improvements.
KITA SEHAT is aligned with Indonesia’s long-term and mid-term development plans (2025–2045 and 2025–2029). The program emphasizes integrated human and animal health interventions, especially in selected regions. With four core focus areas—strengthening health policies and services, improving access and quality (including stunting and nutrition), developing health workforce capacity, and enhancing health security—it is set to run for eight years. The first phase (2025–2029) involves an AUD 100 million investment and is expected to boost family and community well-being across Indonesia.
