Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi), led by Minister Meutya Hafid, is partnering with international stakeholders, notably Australia’s Porspera program, to accelerate national digital transformation. This collaboration aims to boost the digital economy’s contribution to 19% of Indonesia’s GDP by 2045. The minister emphasized that achieving this requires mastery of technology and digitalization.
Digital transformation is one of Indonesia’s 17 national development priorities and a key driver toward achieving “Indonesia Emas 2045”—a vision of becoming one of the world’s top five economies. The partnership with Prospera will focus on strengthening digital governance, policy direction, and internal capacity building. Prospera Deputy Director Della Temanggung welcomed the initiative, expressing strong support for Indonesia’s leap toward a digitally driven economy. The bilateral cooperation, supported by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), underscores a shared commitment to advancing Indonesia’s economic and digital policy reform.
