The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is accelerating the modernization of the Pengambengan Nusantara Fishing Port (PPN) in Jembrana, Bali, with a unique approach: combining the latest technology and local cultural values. In its development, the port will be designed not only to enhance fishing efficiency and competitiveness but also to reflect Bali's strong cultural characteristics. This initiative is part of KKP's national program to build sustainable, internationally standardized fishing ports that remain rooted in local identity.
PPN Pengambengan will be equipped with modern supporting facilities such as cold chain systems, efficient loading and unloading areas, and the use of digital technology in services. Not only that, the port's design and management will also take into account local wisdom, both in terms of architecture and social function. With this approach, the KKP hopes that PPN Pengambengan can become a model fishing port that is environmentally friendly, empowers coastal communities, and serves as a showcase for the harmony between progress and cultural heritage.
