On 23 July 2025, a significant milestone was achieved as Ambon Customs, Maluku Quarantine, and the Maluku Provincial Government collaborated for the inaugural export of 612 live grouper weighing 552 kilograms from Pattimura Airport, Ambon, to Hong Kong. This live grouper export was exported by PT Rajawali Laut Timur. This export represents a significant initial step in enhancing the competitiveness of Maluku's fisheries products in the international market. The Head of the Ambon Customs Office, M. Farid Irfan M., stated that this activity is a concrete example of inter-agency synergy in supporting the facilitation of regional commodity exports. The Ambon Customs Office is committed to providing assistance and optimal services to businesses, including expediting export processes. This live grouper export represents a significant milestone, demonstrating Maluku's capacity to compete in the global market.
