The Indonesian government is finalizing a continuation of its economic stimulus program for the third quarter of 2025 to sustain growth momentum. According to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs spokesperson Haryo Limanseto, the stimulus—currently under evaluation—will prioritize government spending and targeted programs such as free nutritious meals, housing support, and microcredit (KUR) assistance. Specific forms of the new incentives have yet to be announced, but the package is expected to be finalized soon, following feedback from the business sector.
In Q2 2025, the government launched an IDR 24.44 trillion stimulus covering transportation discounts, social assistance, and wage subsidies. Measures included a 30% train fare discount, 6% VAT cut for airfares, 50% sea transport fare reduction, and toll discounts. Social support totaled IDR 11.93 trillion, including food aid and rice distribution to 18.3 million families. Wage subsidies of IDR 300,000 were provided to 17.3 million low-income workers, including teachers. These efforts are now being reviewed to inform Q3 planning.
