Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Perkasa Roeslani announced that investment realisation in Special Economic Zones (Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus/KEK) reached IDR 90.1 trillion, exceeding the target of IDR 78.1 trillion for 2024. Rosan also stated that this realisation was accompanied by the absorption of 47,747 workers, which exceeded the initial target of 38,953 workers, as well as an increase of 72 business entities. From 2012 to 2024, the Special Economic Zone has attracted investments totalling IDR 263.4 trillion, with 403 business entities and the creation of 160,874 jobs.
