Danareksa and KKP Strengthen Blue Economy and Coastal Industrial Zones

PT. Danareksa (Persero), the state-owned holding company, has established a strategic partnership with the Directorate General of Marine Spatial Planning, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement to strengthen the marine-based coastal economy and encourage the growth of sustainable industrial zones. This step demonstrates Danareksa's contribution to supporting the national development agenda, particularly the acceleration of the blue economy, which aligns with the Asta Cita (Asta Cita) program to strengthen maritime sovereignty and expand equitable development. Danareksa President Director Yadi Jaya Ruchandi stated that this collaboration aligns with one of Danareksa's strategic mandates to manage and develop seven industrial zone entities in an integrated manner, thereby contributing to the economy and society. "This collaboration will pave the way for the development of inclusive, modern, and sustainable coastal industrial areas. Through this agreement, the Danareksa State-Owned Enterprises Holding Company is ready to provide full support, from policy development to investment assistance," explained Yadi.

This agreement covers various areas of cooperation, including support for the development of coastal area management policies, proposals for national strategic projects, human resource capacity building, assistance with marine space utilization permits, and business matching to attract global and domestic investors. As an implementation step, the three industrial estates belonging to the Danareksa State-Owned Enterprises Holding Company: PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN), PT Kawasan Industri Wijayakusuma (KIW), and PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) will play an active role in implementing the initiative on the ground through the development of national strategic projects oriented towards blue economy values and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Currently, DIP is present in seven strategic cities and manages more than 7,800 hectares of industrial land, creating nearly 300,000 jobs, and is home to more than 1,600 tenants from 25 countries, including global companies from various industrial sectors that support downstream processing.
