Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, familiarly called Mas Dar, released exports of horticultural commodities worth a total of Rp 1.335 billion at the Digital Agro and Innovation Week (PADI) 2025 at Agro Center Soropadan, Temanggung, Central Java. In the event, the exports consisted of 70 tons of honey yam worth IDR 840 million, 1.5 tons of ant sugar to Malaysia worth IDR 375 million, and 1 ton of organic vegetables to Singapore worth IDR 120 million. Mas Dar appreciated the collaboration of millennial farmers, cooperatives, and government support in building a global export network.
He emphasized that the government will continue to facilitate training, land provision (through Perhutani or PTPN), and digital technology for young farmers to increase productivity and quality of export commodities. Mas Dar also encouraged the mapping of production centers, the use of agricultural applications, and the utilization of diaspora networks to open new market access through business matching. This approach is expected to increase the added value of local products, increase foreign exchange, and boost farmers' welfare.
