Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Sudaryono, officially released the first export of spices from Temanggung, Central Java, sent by the Merah Putih Bengkal Village Cooperative in collaboration with CV Kapulaga Jaya Mandiri to China. Yesterday's shipment included 28 tons of nutmeg and 26 tons of cardamom worth a total of IDR 5.1 billion. This export release activity was held in Bengkal village, Kranggan sub-district, emphasizing the strategic role of local spices in expanding Indonesia's global market reach.
This export program also shows the intensive efforts of the government and farmers in improving the quality and standardization of spice products. The presence of the Deputy Minister and the synergy between cooperatives and local enterprises mark a new phase in the commercialization of spices that were previously managed traditionally. It is hoped that such exports will serve as a trigger to increase high-quality products and pave the way for creative economic footprints from the region to the international arena.
