Indonesia exported processed chicken products to four countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Singapore, and Japan. The exports are carried out by PT Malindo Food Delight and Lula Group. The Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Suganda, has stated that exports of chicken processed products to the UAE have reached 40 feet, with the shipment departing from the GIIC Industrial Zone in Cikarang, West Java. Previously, chicken processed products were shipped simultaneously to Oman, Singapore, and Japan. This corporate initiative was launched in April 2025. Consequently, there have been two exports to partner countries. Agung noted that the UAE has potential due to its large Indonesian population, particularly during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, which attract approximately 221,000 people annually.
The Ministry of Agriculture is encouraging Lula Group and Malindo Food Delight to expand into new markets in the region. Agung is optimistic that the performance of processed chicken exports will help address the issue of price instability for live chickens domestically. Furthermore, Agung has confirmed that the supply of live chickens remains sufficient to meet regular demand in Indonesia. Furthermore, there is a surplus of chicken meat of 10%, and for chicken egg meat, 5%. The government's implementation of the cost of goods manufactured has ensured the price of live chickens at the farm level has remained stable over the past month.
