Indonesia will become a center for cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum technology-based computing in Asia through the investment of Asia's first Quantum AI Data Center. The initial project, facilitated by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), will attract an investment of USD 400 million, equivalent to IDR 6 trillion. The investment plan was revealed at the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Worldvuer iByond Limited, a Silicon Valley-based technology company, and Tunas Prima Industrial Estate in Jakarta on Wednesday (July 9, 2025). The signing was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu, and attended by Her Highness Princess Anne Shek, Chairman of the Advisory Board for Asia, Worldvuer iByond Limited.
The data center will be built in the Tunas Prima area, a green industrial area located in Batam, Riau Islands. The facility has implemented renewable energy-based infrastructure, such as solar panels and a self-contained water treatment facility. Previously, the area has attracted investment from global manufacturers, including Apple iPhones and AirTags. Meanwhile, Worldvuer iByond Limited is the developer of the Vovea iByond Operating System, a system that combines various advanced computing technologies. This technology includes quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics to achieve processing speeds and capacities far exceeding conventional data centers. Indonesia will be the first base for this technology in Asia, following developments in Silicon Valley and the Middle East. In addition to building the data center, Worldvuer iByond Limited is also exploring potential collaborations in the energy sector, using a similar approach to its collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Aramco. And Worldvuer iByond Limited is also exploring telecommunications technology with Telkom Group.
