The Indonesian Ministry of Trade reported that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) secured export transactions worth USD 87.04 million (approximately IDR 1.4 trillion) during the first half of 2025 through its business matching programs. This figure includes confirmed purchase orders worth USD 52.70 million and potential deals valued at USD 34.34 million. Minister of Trade Budi Santoso highlighted that the initiative connects local MSMEs with international buyers through structured events. From January to June 2025, a total of 356 business matching sessions were held, including 241 business presentations and 115 one-on-one meetings.
The events were coordinated by the Directorate General of National Export Development (PEN) in collaboration with 46 trade representatives in 33 partner countries. Director General Fajarini Puntodewi noted a 26.78% increase in export value compared to January–May 2025. In June alone, 140 MSMEs engaged with 16 buyers from eight countries, yielding USD 18.39 million in transactions. Key export products included fashion, batik, furniture, food, beverages, and herbal medicine. The government reaffirmed its commitment to helping MSMEs grow into sustainable global exporters.
