The trade mission between the Provincial Governments of East Java and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) held on July 9, 2025 recorded a total transaction worth Rp1.068 trillion in just one day. This value came from East Java's sales commitment of Rp764.9 billion, purchases from NTB worth Rp 153.9 billion, and investment plans in the poultry farming sector amounting to Rp150 billion. The event involved 200 business players from both provinces and covered superior products such as coffee, fish feed, cigarettes, and other fishery and agricultural products. Compared to the previous year, transactions increased more than fourfold, reflecting the high interest in trade cooperation between the regions.
East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that this achievement shows that business opportunities are increasingly wide open, especially in the downstream industry sector. She emphasized the importance of synergy between regions to create a strong and sustainable supply chain. Meanwhile, NTB Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal welcomed the partnership and said NTB is ready to become a provider of strategic raw materials such as corn, tobacco, and marine products. Both agreed that the trade mission is not just a short-term transaction, but a foundation for strengthening the domestic economy based on regional potential and complementary logistics connectivity.
