On 8-9 July 2025, the World AI Show 2025 will be held at the JW Marriott Hotel, Jakarta, organised by Trescon. The event will bring together industry leaders, regulators and start-ups from various countries to strengthen regional collaboration in the application of artificial intelligence (AI). Trescon's Chief Operating Officer, Anil Kumar, stated that the event involves thousands of industry players at various levels, making this forum a crucial platform for collaboration and business transformation driven by innovation. The Chair of the Industrial Artificial Intelligence Research and Innovation Collaboration (KORIKA), Prof. Hammam Riza, emphasised the importance of cross-sector collaboration to accelerate the adoption and development of artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesia. Furthermore, he noted that Indonesia is at the forefront of technological transformation, particularly since the launch of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy (Stranas KA) in 2020. KORIKA recognises the pivotal role of AI in realising Indonesia's vision of achieving developed nation status by 2045.
Currently, the government and stakeholders are developing an AI 2030 roadmap, outlining national strategies to address various challenges, ranging from ethics to infrastructure and talent. In addition, the Chairman of the Jakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Jakarta) and Co-Chairman of the Association of Digital Leaders Indonesia (ADI), Arif Ilham Adnan, emphasised the importance of AI-based digital transformation as a key element in driving economic competitiveness and resilience. He also noted that AI technology has become the primary transformative force reshaping industries, economies, and societies globally. It is anticipated that Jakarta will spearhead the strategic integration of AI, creating substantial added value.
