Lampung has successfully executed its inaugural export of robusta green coffee beans, with an export value of USD 79,905, through PT Geber Ekspor Indonesia to Oman via Regional Port 2 Panjang. This export value is derived from the contract value of the total export transaction of the commodity, which amounts to USD 2.4 million. This export activity is part of the outcomes from business matching facilitated by BSI through the International Expo 2025 organised by Bank Syariah Indonesia in collaboration with supported micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM). This export is a positive indicator of progress, given the already established reputation of Lampung's premium robusta coffee in Oman.
Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, as the port operator and the economic gateway in Lampung Province, is committed to continuing development in terms of improving the quality of export and import services, work productivity, effective and efficient performance in collaboration with relevant parties, and consistently supporting the government's commitment to realising Indonesia as a global maritime hub. This includes ongoing evaluation of services provided to users. The inaugural commercial export through Panjang Port is poised to enhance the value chain, particularly for coffee farmers and their communities. As a flagship and priority export commodity in Lampung Province, coffee is expected to make a significant contribution to Indonesia's economy, alongside other products produced by farmers and entrepreneurs.
