During the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair held from July 6-10, 2025, Indonesian businesses highlighted the growing popularity of their products in China. Amella Halim of PT. Surabaya Indah Permai shared that since 2016, their plant-based essential oils—especially mosquito repellents and muscle pain relevers—have sold well on Chinese e-commerce platforms like Taobao. With a direct sales point in Guangzhou and plans to open a distribution company in China, the firm is optimistic about expanding. Similarly, Indonesian coffee producer John Andrew Coffee reported successful exports exceeding CNY 750,000 in 2024, benefiting from Chinese youth’s rising interest in coffee.
The event, which featured nearly 2,000 companies from 50 countries, saw Indonesia participate as an honorary guest to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations with China. Indonesian officials emphasized mutual trade benefits, especially in sectors like nickel, agriculture, and logistics. Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to deepening cooperation in investment and industrial development.
