The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas together with the Indonesian Fintech Association (AFTECH) held a Digital Economy & Finance Forum entitled "From Strategy to Execution: National Digital Transformation and Business Ecosystem Synergy Towards 8% Economic Growth". This forum is a strategic event to formulate concrete steps to accelerate digital transformation as a driving force for the real sector, while supporting the national economic growth target of 8% in 2029. Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy said that digital transformation is one of the main pillars in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN). The focus includes accelerating industrialization, strengthening data-based green and blue economies, increasing real sector productivity, and optimizing state spending through technology-based budget governance.
AFTECH General Chair Pandu Sjahrir emphasized the importance of building a digital financial ecosystem that can support the needs of the real sector. "Trust in the digital ecosystem is the main foundation for strengthening the investment climate," said Pandu. As a concrete manifestation of this synergy, Bappenas and AFTECH launched the Digital × Real Sector Launchpad, an initiative that bridges the digital economic ecosystem with the needs of the real sector. This program carries a co-creation approach with stages of problem identification, solution design, trials, and data-based evaluation. One example of program implementation is the digitalization of dairy cooperatives in Malang. AFTECH Supervisory Board Chairman Arsjad Rasjid said there are four strategic steps to ensure that digital transformation has a real impact on the real sector: strengthening digital infrastructure, building cross-sector data interoperability, developing talent through training and educational collaboration, and drafting regulations that maintain the integrity of the ecosystem and protect consumers.
