Tuku Caffee Shop, founded in June 2015 in Cipete, South Jakarta, has grown rapidly into a cultural icon, spreading its signature iced milk coffee sweetened with palm sugar. With over 72 outlets across major Indonesian cities and a workforce of more than 1,040 baristas serving around 78,000 cups daily, Tuku marks its tenth year with ambitious local and international expansion plans. As part of its global ambition, the brand will open a permanent store in Amsterdam in 2025—after participating in the Amsterdam Coffee Festival in 2023 and 2024—and another outlet in Bali, leveraging the island's international tourism market.
Tuku’s strategy blends cultural diplomacy and sustainability. Through collaboration with Roemah Indonesia BV, it highlights not only Indonesian coffee but also palm sugar, promoting these authentic flavors and earning positive reception among European consumers. Beyond retail, Tuku is building its supply chain via its Beragam unit and networks with roughly 630 coffee and 275 sugar‑palm farmers, aiming to enhance production volume and quality standards in partnership with industry and government stakeholders—supporting its goal of reaching 100 outlets by 2026 and reinforcing Indonesia’s specialty coffee presence on the world stage.
