The Ministry of Trade has recorded that exports of micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (UMKM) products through the UMKM Bisa Ekspor (Can Export) programme have reached USD 68.65 million, equivalent to IDR 1 trillion, and have facilitated around 474 UMKM as of May 2025. Furthermore, the Ministry of Trade has facilitated over 600 business matchings and presentations through this programme. The Ministry of Trade has launched a programme called UMKM Bisa Ekspor to assist UMKM in exporting via business matching. In this context, the Ministry of Trade engages with Indonesia's trade representatives in 33 countries to assess potential market opportunities. Furthermore, the government has 46 trade representatives worldwide, comprising Indonesian Trade Promotion Centres (ITPCs).
According to Budi, the Ministry of Trade's UMKM Bisa Ekspor programme is in alignment with Bisnis Indonesia's Jelajah Ekspor 2025 programme. Furthermore, Budi noted that this collaboration will accelerate Indonesia's exports. Jelajah Ekspor 2025 is an in-depth coverage programme by Bisnis Indonesia designed to highlight issues and dynamics in Indonesia's foreign trade, with a primary focus on the export sector. The Jelajah Ekspor 2025 programme's itinerary includes ports and export-oriented industrial zones, export support agencies and institutions, logistics facilities and export-import warehouses, as well as integrated logistics zones and export goods distribution centres.
