One of Indonesia's leading toy manufacturers, PT Royal Regent Indonesia (RRI), based in Kendal, Central Java, has successfully penetrated the export market, including to the United States and several other countries. A member of the Walden Toys Group Hong Kong, the company began full operations in November 2023. Recently, PT RRI shipped six containers of toys worth USD 688,662 or around IDR 11 billion. The exported products include children’s toy chairs, doll clothes, and toy tractors. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, during the export release event at Kendal Industrial Park (June 19), praised the achievement as a testament to the resilience and competitiveness of Indonesia’s manufacturing sector amidst global economic disruptions.

Since its launch, PT RRI has recorded export values reaching USD 28 million, with a monthly production capacity of 850,000 units. The company exports to the U.S., Canada, Japan, and Europe, and supplies major brands like Target, Disney, and Walmart. During peak seasons, it employs up to 1,700 workers. PT RRI’s products comply with global vendor standards and hold international certifications. Minister Agus expressed optimism that the national toy industry will continue expanding to new markets, boosting job creation, exports, and inclusive economic growth.
